Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s First Map Pack Comes First to PlayStation in Early 2016

This year marked a big shift for Call of Duty fans as PlayStation became the new “home” to the series for timed exclusive content with last month’s release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and new content is on the way and coming first to PlayStation early next year.

During today’s PlayStation Experience keynote, it was revealed that the first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, titled “Awakening,” will be arriving first for PS4 and PS3 in January, providing PlayStation console owners access to the map pack 30 days early before other platforms.

In addition to the timed exclusivity, it was also confirmed that PlayStation will be the official presenting and branding partner alongside Activision for Call of Duty World League, the official eSports league hosting a $3 million prize pool for competing players worldwide.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
