Call of Duty: Ghosts Nets Over $1 Billion on First Day of Release

The latest title in the popular Call of Duty franchise has broken some serious records with its release yesterday–Call of Duty: Ghosts has managed to gross over $1 billion in its first day only, surpassing Grand Theft Auto V‘s record of $800 million set back in September.

Activision’s previous game, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, took 15 days to reach the one billion dollar mark after grossing $500 million on its first day.
