Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Strike Packages Behind the Scenes

on October 20, 2011 2:35 PM

A new video featuring the different strike packages available in Modern Warfare 3 gives an interesting angle on the creation process behind them.

Mark Rubin, Executive Producer on the game, says that the previous title in the franchise had a tendency to reward a certain type of player: the one with a high kill death ratio. This time around, their objective is to reward all kinds of gamers, whether they have a more supportive role or a more offensive one.

The game gives you strike points depending on your actions, that bring you closer to three different strike packages: assault, support or specialist. This was made in an effort to give the game more balance, and help out players that don’t necessarily get the highest death counts. Do you welcome such an initiative?
