During Activision’s quarterly financial conference call, Chief Executive Officer Eric Hirshberg talked about the publisher's outlook for Call of Duty: WWII.

Hirshberg explained that the trends for the game are "really good."

Activision feels that they "have the right game at the right time." Those who have played are pleased by the return to "boots on the ground" and to human scale, authentic military context. It's a "welcome change" and "very well timed."

The content that has been demoed had a "really positive" response from fans and critics. The reveal trailer was the most liked video in Call of Duty history, and has the most organic views of any COD reveal trailer ever. The hands-on multiplayer at E3 was "well received" and the Zombie trailer revealed at San Diego Comic Con has been the most liked Zombie trailer ever.
