Earlier today, a trailer for Call of Duty: WWII's Zombie mode was leaked by YouTuber Glitching Queen that shows off the bone-shaking zombie design as well as the corridors and buildings players will be fighting in.The two-minute long trailer shows off the game's "Army of the Dead" mode, complete with a haunting atmosphere and some good old Nazi "fourth Reich" propaganda speech.Gameplay elements are, for the most part, avoided throughout the trailer though we do get to see some of the areas that will be in the game, as well as types of zombies that we'll be filling up with lead. These range from your typical walkers, to undead who sprint at you full speed. Zombies on fire are depicted, and they don't seem to be phased by their melting flesh. The most striking enemy in the trailer, though, comes in the form of a hulking mass of torn flesh and steel that appears to be some sort of boss. It can be seen in the last shot of the trailer before the title screen with a spiked mace in place of an arm and some creepy headgear. You can check out the leaked trailer below. Keep in mind that developers have heavily hinted that the leaked trailer is not the final version, so there appears to be more to see when the official video comes.Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey appealed to the audience asking to avoid spoilers. While the trailer is at the bottom of the post, we leave it to you to decide whether you prefer to follow his advice or not.

Though it is not yet clear how this trailer slipped through Sledgehammer Games' cracks, the studio stated that while leaks are unfortunate, the initial reception they've been getting has been positive:

The final version of this trailer, releasing next Thursday, July 20, during San Diego Comic Con, will likely be the conclusion to the Nazi Zombie AR that the company has been running including sending YouTubers letters that need to be heated to reveal a hidden message and more.

The trailer will not be the last footage of "Army of the Dead" that we will see before the game's launch but what it does tell is is that Sledgehammer Games have acknowledged what players wanted in a zombie game mode: fast-paced frantic gameplay and a frightening experience. You'll be able to check out the final trailer when it releases during San Diego Comic Con.

Call of Duty WWII is being released on November 6 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out the previous zombie teaser here, as well as eight of the game's multiplayer trailers.

Update: the trailer has been removed, as expected, due to a copyright claim by Activision Publishing.
