After a few years in the far future, the Call of Duty series is making a notable return back to the battlefields of World War II for this fall's Call of Duty: WWII, while the highly-anticipated Zombies Mode will get its time in the spotlight later this month.Sledgehammer Games' studio head Glen Schofield shared a teaser image that points toward the reveal of the Zombies Mode for Call of Duty: WWII, a mainstay of the franchise since its introduction in Call of Duty: World At War (and the last time that Call of Duty was set in World War II proper, at that). While there isn't too much to go off of based on the image, the image shared that a full reveal of Zombies Mode (or at least partial reveal) is coming on July 20th, 2017, and should offer a deeper look at what fans can expect from this year's iteration of the popular co-op game mode. Given that the series is heading back to World War II, we could see a revitalized take on what World At War offered when it debuted the mode for the first time, while other iterations of the mode included celebrity cameos, crazy themes, and much more.Call of Duty: WWII will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 3rd, 2017.
