Capcom Aims To Offer the Best Quality And Break Sales Records With Monster Hunter 4

Capcom’s Executive Corporate Officer and Director Katsuhiko Ichii is very confident in the fourth numbered chapter of the Monster Hunter series, to be released in Japan exclusively for the 3DS on September the 14th, as he explained as part of an interview on Famitsu.com.

About the quality of the game, we think we can offer the best. I hope we’ll achieve unprecedented, record breaking sales.

Preorders definitely seemed encouraging on Amazon Japan, where the available copies actually sold out. For that reason Ichii-san’s statement may not be just hope, especially considering how popular the franchise is in Japan. It’ll definitely be interesting to see how the battle between Monster Hunter 4 on the 3DS and God Eater 2 on the PS Vita and PSP will end between the end of the summer and this fall.
