What do you think will happen if Capcom's new Versus series Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars goes on to sell well enough in the US? According to what the game's producer told Kotaku, if the games does well by all counts, there might just be an announcement to a new Versus game.

We've seen Capcom characters take on almost all of our favorite heroes, with the exception of the Scooby-Doo gang and Ben 10, and craft an addicting wad of competitive entertainment. Next week will mark the seventh fighting game released by Capcom in which the company's most popular characters take on individuals from another company - in this case Tatsunoko - and blends them in one single game in an orgy of ass kicking 2D fighting.

To some this might just be another addition to the series; but to the game's producer Ryota Niitsuma, the title is more of a resurrection of the series.

"I would love to do more versus series, more types of games like Marvel Vs. Capcom 2," Niitsuma said. "There are all of these possibilities working with other companies, seeing what we could do with them. There are so many game companies I'd love to work with."

And if you're thinking that Capcom isn't taking requests from fans with regards to versus games, you are mistaken. Niitsuma says, "We get requests from fans to mix our characters with other video game characters all of the time." He goes on to say that based on the requests of the fans, the company [Capcom] might just be able to do something with another company in the future. How soon is the future, you ask?

"If sales are really good (for Tasunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars) then you can see an announcement within this year," Niitsuma says.

I can only picture the Dragon Ball Z fans ferociously bashing their keyboards with their Cheez Doodles-filled fingers emailing Capcom to have Goku and Ryu go at it even though, by logic, Goku would tear a new f***hole on the torso of every single Capcom character by himself whilst eating a fluffy rice ball.

Personally, I'm hoping to see something along the lines of Capcom vs. Sony just so I can finally match up two of the most badass characters in gaming: Dante and Kratos. That's just me, though. Who would you guys like to see go at it?
