Capcom published today a new batch of info and screenshots of Monster Hunter 3G, to be released in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS on December the 10th.

The screenshots show the operation of the touch pad camera and targeting control, that according to attendees of the tokyo game show make the additional (and rather cumbersome) slide pad completely optional. In addition to that, two locations of the game have been unveiled:

The Moga Village used to be a small fishing village surrounded by the sea on one side and lush forests on the other side in Monster Hunter Tri. Now it has become a popular meeting point for the hunters, and it has been revamped with the addition of many new NPCs and quests.

The Tanja Port is a bustling trading hub, visited by a moltitude of hunters that turned it into a vibrant and noisy place. There are also a variety of shops and quests to be enjoyed. This location is a new one introduced for the first time in Monster Hunter 3G.

Finally the companion character Chacha has been introduced as well. He is a Shaka and  forms a pair with Kayanba (that we already knew).  The two can be used as adventuring companions during hunting trips.
