Ha! A glorious new development has brought an ounce of merit to the surging rumors of the DMC HD collection. Capcom has requested that all artist submit their best Devil May Cry fan art for a super special Devil May Cry 10th Anniversary Art Competition. The winning art(s) will be featured in an upcoming "unannounced Capcom game". It's all to celebrate the 10th anniversary of DMC, one of the most recognizable and influential series in all of gaming. The info comes by way of a post made to the Unity site.
The post is very careful not to let a single detail on the new game slip. They didn't even say that the art was for a new DMC game, they said a new Capcom game. As I said in the beginning, this is another clue hinting towards a forthcoming collection of the first three DMC games, with HD and all that other jazz. Such a move would certainly win back some of the morale that was lost when the upcoming Ninja Theory developed DMC game was revealed. Now that Capcom themselves have began to make moves, a true reveal is just a matter of time. Hit the source for further details on the art contest.
