The Fighting Fantasy series of branching narrative gamebooks is soon to hit its 35th anniversary, and in celebration, Nomad Games (Smash Up and Talisman) has announced that a new game from the series title Fighting Fantasy Legends will be coming to mobile devices and Steam this year.

Nomad Games has revealed that a partnership has been struck with the series' authors Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone to bring Fighting Fantasy to a card-based RPG, which will feature books such as City of ThievesThe Warlock of Firetop Mountain, and Citadel of Chaos.

According to Nomad, the game will allow players to traverse the continent of Allansia, collecting cards to create more powerful combinations, as well as incorporating a choice system that is iconic to the franchise.

Ian Livingstone also shared his excitement for the announcement, noting that fan favorites will make an appearance to satisfy series veterans, as well as to recruit some new faces to Fighting Fantasy fandom.

"As fans of Fighting Fantasy, I know the Nomad team has gone the extra mile in making their game not only exciting, but as realistically authentic as possible. Exploring Port Blacksand, Firetop Mountain and the Citadel will be a thrilling experience and visual delight for Fighting Fantasy fans new and old."
