Zen Studios announced today that they will be bringing CastleStorm VR, which released last year on Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR, to PlayStation VR on August 1.

CastleStorm VR blends 2D physics destruction gameplay with Tower Defense RPG mechanics into a unique VR experience. The game features a variety of campaigns that allows players to take control of heroes who use their Ballista to kill enemies with all different kinds of projectiles, which includes more traditional things like arrows and more humorous things like farting sheep. Players must also deploy their own soldiers to fight enemies and destroy their opponents castle.

While it isn't extraordinarily different than other CastleStorm titles gameplay wise, being in VR allows the player to feel immersed in each battle, as they can see and hear everything that is going on.The game also features a Castle Builder mode where players can attempt to construct and indestructible castle, unlocking new rooms with special powers and abilities along the way. Those designs can then be used in the game's 1v1 online multiplayer mode.
