Disney and Pixar's Wreck-It Ralph has been met with well-earned success and acknowledgment from gamers and non-gamers alike. For a film that is chock-full of gaming references and cameos, its original characters manage to stand out on their own as well. Most notably, Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun from Hero's Duty shows off just what a female protagonist can be.

Well, it seems that Disney wants fans to get deeper look at the Sergeant and the whole Hero's Duty world. They've recently released a Hero's Duty interactive comic for the iPhone and iPad. The 22-page prequel to Wreck-It Ralph delivers the backstory of the Sergeant and her squad as they try to save a lone doctor from an unpleasant death at the mandibles of the Cy-bugs. The comic also comes with sound effects and an original soundtrack inspired by the film. You can check out a few screens of the two-dollar comic over at iTunes.

Hey Disney, Hero's Duty E/T-rated third person shooter. Get in on that Gears money, you've just established the fan base.
