CD Projekt Announces GOG Galaxy, Promises Cross-Play with Steam

on June 5, 2014 2:25 PM

CD Projekt RED and GOG.com announced today something very interesting in the form of GOG Galaxy, an optional client that can be used for GOG.com’s games.

The client will be fully optional, and you’ll still be able to play your games DRM-free without it, but thanks to Galaxy you’ll get cross-play with Steam, which is definitely a sweet option. It will also come with its own set of achievements.

Below you can see a trailer showcased during the livestream.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
