CD Projekt RED Launches Holiday Modding Contest for The Witcher 3; Winner Gets a Real Sword

on December 14, 2015 11:52 AM

Alongside a game that already boasts hundreds of hours of gameplay and also provided tons of free DLC to purchasers, developer CD Projekt RED is clearly no stranger to giving plenty of added value to its customers, and given it’s the holiday season, the developer is also feeling the holiday cheer with a newly-launched holiday contest with a quite appealing prize.

Developer CD Projekt RED has announced a new holiday contest for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, with the challenge being for modders to create the best holiday-themed outfit for Geralt or any other character in the title, with the winner claiming their own one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted sword ripped straight from The Witcher 3.

The contest is officially running now through January 5th, 2016 at 4pm CEST and open to any gamers over the age of 18 with a submission before the deadline, with the form to submit an entry available to view here, while you can click here to look at the full list of restrictions and information regarding the contest.

Also: let’s just take a moment to acknowledge that truly wonderful image of Holiday Geralt – it puts me right in the holiday spirit, if I do say so myself.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
