Chaos Reborn recently went into Early Access on Steam, but debuted with only its multiplayer module functional. Today, the turn-based tactics game received a new update that has brought the promised single player mode into the game.

The update also allows players to 'hotseat' another human into the game or play with a mixture of humans and AI controlled opponents. The update not only makes changes to the whether or not you can play against humans and AI, but also adds in a new spell that lets you summon a pack of mutant, giant rats and adds Christmas themed graphics for a limited time. Nothing quite says 'happy holidays' like mutant rats, after all.

Julian Gollop, the creator of the original XCOM: UFO Defense, Kickstarted Chaos Reborn to the tune of $210,854 in April of this year and released the game onto Steam Early Access earlier this December. The game is turn-based in nature and revolves around dueling wizards using a variety of spells to do battle between two to four players. You can pick up Chaos Reborn for PC right now for $19.99.
