Having reached the one million copies sold mark last month, Crusader Kings II is continuing to go full steam ahead with it's new Charlemagne expansion on October 14th.

Players will have another century to shape with new kingdoms, characters and events to explore. Aside from these new story events, Charlemagne also features new game options to allow players to follow their historical progress with the inclusion of an in-game “Chronicle” that highlights all of your dynasty’s major conquests, marriages, and other feats.

Four additional pieces of DLC designed for Crusader Kings II: Charlemagne will also be released alongside the expansion. Period appropriate clothing, portrait packs and coats of arms being just a few of the features coming in this small side DLCs. An e-book of the medieval epic “Song of Roland,” will also be released on October 14.
