Sony San Diego is hard at work on Kill Strain, its free to play competitive squad-based twin stick shooter with MOBA elements, and the game is currently in a private beta test phase.
If you’re curious to see more about it, we have the recording of a full match below.
The rules are simple but deep at the same time. You start with two five man team of humans and one with two mutants. The objective is to destroy the enemy base, but the mutants can turn the humans and transform them into fellow mutants making the size of the teams dynamic.
The “strain” that can be expanded and shrinked by player action, and acts as a semi-safe haven for mutants, temporary power ups that grant humans a powerful exoskeleton, and pesky turrets, make everything more hectic and fun.
Keep in mind that the game is work in progress, so many things are set to change before it gets released later this year.
