Check Out Splinter Cell: Blacklist’s Spies vs Mercs Blacklist Multiplayer From a Spy’s Point of View

The latest video from Ubisoft features Community Developer Zack Cooper sitting down with Level Design Director Geoff Ellenor for some insight on the Spies vs Mercs Blacklist mode, while they actually play the multiplayer as a Spy. Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be released on August 20th for North America for PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U.

Not only do we get a great inside look into the Blacklist multiplayer, we also find out some pretty interesting information about the mode. For instance, the Merc is your standard heavy damage dealing class with access to a variety of weaponry, while those playing as a Spy have a third person view and therefore can see everything going on in the map.

There’s also the pre-set load outs, which give you a special ability immediately when you began playing–for example, Zack Cooper is using the Predator load out, which gives the character temporary invisibility. Another interesting piece of advice is that if you’re playing as a Spy (specifically a Hacker) do not engage the enemy unless absolutely necessary since your main objective is to stay alive and complete the objective. Interestingly enough, the Spy has high strength and can kill an enemy with their bare hands if needed.
