Last year saw the release of at least one Transformers game that happened to be very enjoyable in Transformers: War for Cybertron. In that game, which blew the movie tie-ins away, you got to fight through the beginning of the end of Cybertron. The game explored all the murky depths of the Transformers history that would eventually lead to the original series, starting with the betrayal of Starscream.
It was an awesome experience, in part because you got to play through the conflict from both sides as the Autobots and the Decepticons. It was not, however, a perfect experience. That is something that the sequel, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron clearly hopes to change, as they released an awesome trailer at last night’s VGAs for the game.
While the trailer does not feature any gameplay footage, you still get to see Ratchet decking Starscream and Jazz being his usual awesome self, as well as hints at the appearances of some other characters, including a particularly awesome one at the end. I wouldn’t dare spoil it, so be sure to check out the trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron after the jump.
