Check Out the Graphic Assassin’s Creed Unity Presents: Rob Zombie’s French Revolution Animated Short

Last week we reported that Rob Zombie’s directed animated short based on Assassin’s Creed is going to be presented at this year’s Comic Con. Thanks to Ubisoft, we can all see it for our viewing pleasure.

In this reimagined take of the French Revolution nothing is left to the imagination (it is Rob Zombie) as Tony Moore illustrations capture beheadings, eye-stabbings, spilled guts and the fight for glory.

Moore had this to say about his favorite part of the short,

There’s this one part in the storming of the Bastille where we zoom in on a guy getting stabbed in the eye. We thought about it a lot and me and the animation team when back and forth with it and we went over the pacing and the viscosity of the blood and we just really dug in on it. Then the animation team went in and did this 3D mapping over a section of the face and had all the blood spurting out and all that great stuff. When they turned that in, it just blew my mind because it had been a long time coming with a lot of rough cuts and then when they were like, “Here’s what we’ve got.” It just blew me away.

In addition to the short, Assassin’s Creed fans will have a chance to snag a super limited edition poster from Tony Moore and Angryblue when they go on sale. Keep an eye on their Tumblr pages (Tony Moore and Angryblue) for further details.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
