on March 9, 2015 6:02 PM

Xbox celebrates women in the gaming industry. Microsoft hosted the 15th Annual Women In Gaming Luncheon in GDC by having some prominent women in the gaming industry.

The hour long talk covers a variety of game development topics like appreciating creative freedom to brainstorming prototype ideas. It’s a great video to watch if you have any interest in game development whether you’re a man or woman because it addresses issues like dealing with failures and managing successes. GDC is great for these ‘inside baseball’ discussions of game development.

The speakers include:
Robin Hunicke – Co-Founder, Funomena
Colleen Macklin – Associate Professor in Design & Technology at Parsons The New School for Design
Amy Robinson -Executive Director, EyeWire
Abby Lee -Studio Manager, LXP, Xbox Incubation
Tina Wood Summerford – 343 Industries
