Chibi-Robo! Returns to Japan with an Amiibo and New Title This Fall for the Nintendo 3DS

Chibi-Robo!, who got his start as a GameCube title, is getting another game this fall for the Nintendo 3DS and his own Amiibo. The gameplay shown appears to be a continuation of the household chores from previous installments. However this title is more focused on being a 2D platformer, as that type of gameplay takes center stage in the trailer shown during this morning’s Nintendo Direct.

In Chibi-Robo! the Amiibo is used to create an avatar who can level up and players can unlock various trophies in-game, much like Smash Bros. There is currently no firm release date, and no word on a Western release window. You can expect the pricing to follow standard 3DS and Amiibo costs. You can view the trailer below, as well as screenshots.
