Today, developer Dead Mage announced that it has partnered with 11 bit studios -- the team behind This War of Mine and Frostpunk -- for the latter to publish the former's upcoming narrative roguelike hack n' slash title: Children f Morta.

Children of Morta follows the tale of the Bergson family, who has watched over Mount Morta for generations as the guardians of the mystical mountain, a place rich in history and magic.

However, corruption has struck the mountain, transforming it from a peaceful place into a violent and monster infested nightmare. Experience what it means to be a family of heroes, as you take part in the Bergson families journey and struggle to return peace to the land.

Each family member has its own unique inherited traits. This means, each plays differently. While one family member might prefer up close and personal combat, another might prefer long-range or even spells.

There is also a type of upgrading, crafting, and potion concocting system in the game -- courtesy of Uncle Ben and Grandma Margaret.

Further, the game possess a layer of procedural generation in its hand painted pixel world, which means that each playthrough provides a unique experience.

Children of Morta is in development for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. It is currently without a release date beyond "2018."
