The Chinese launch of the Xbox One has been delayed by six days, Microsoft announced today.
Currently, Microsoft has received permission to launch with 10 games in China: Locally developed Naughty Kitties as well as Forza Motorsport 5, Kinect Sports Rivals, Powerstar Golf, Zoo Tycoon, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, Dance Central Spotlight, Neverwinter Online, Rayman Legends and Trials Fusion.
The Xbox One was set to launch on the 23rd of September, and would have been the first foreign-console to release in China since the lifting of a 14 year ban.
However, for unknown reasons, Microsoft was forced to delay the launch.
Microsoft is being investigated by Chinese authorities who allege Microsoft has violated anti-trust laws, but it is unknown if this investigation is related to the delay.
Microsoft China’s general manager Enwei Xie said that customers who had preordered the Xbox One would recieve an “added bonus” to make up for the delay.
