Chiptune Musicians George & Jonathan Release New Album, Please Ears Everywhere

Not much more than a year after their previous release, The Best Music, 16-bit-fans George & Jonathan have come out with a new album, Beautiful Lifestyle. It’s more of the poppy goodness and Sonic The Hedgehog-esque jams people loved about The Best Music, but you can tell that George & Jonathan have expanded their horizons in the time since their last album; vocal samples are used more often, and a few tracks even have the occasional dub siren thrown in. It’s good dub siren use though, don’t worry.

There’s even a dubstep song in there, that, once again, proves that dubstep only works when it’s barely dubstep or when you’re running it on old game systems. (Just look at Tokyo’s Cheapshot for more good chiptune dubstep [chipstep?].)

I’m not sure if they’ll be able to tour on this, but if you’re in the New York area, you should check around; these dudes are pretty big in the scene there.
