Blue Isle Studios, developers of popular titles such as Slender: The Arrival and Valley, finally brought Citadel: Forged With Fire, its magical open-world online RPG to Early Access on Steam, following the Closed Beta that took place last weekend.

The developers stated that they plan to use Early Access to create a strong and transparent relationship with their community and pledged to consistently update the game with new features. While console versions of the game have been announced, the game is currently only in Early Access on PC, and will be in it for eight to twelve months, with Citadel: Forged With Fire’s full launch pegged for Early 2018.

Citadel: Forged With Fire also includes a variety of server options for players, as Blue Isle Studios is working with multiple server providers from around the world. Players have the ability to create their own custom games on private servers, which can even be password protected. Servers can be modified to support things such as PvP and PvE.

Alex Tintor, Managing Director of Blue Isle Studios, had the following to say about finally bringing Citadel: Forged With Fire to Early Access:

“We have been working hard on Citadel for a long time and hope that players take an active role in our development during Early Access. This is just the beginning of our journey, as we are committed to delivering a continuous stream of content with the goal to ensure that players always have something new to see and experience each time they get in-game.”

For those who don’t know, Citadel: Forged With Fire is a multiplayer open world RPG with a focus on giving players magical powers. Players have the ability to giant beasts and soar around the game’s world using magic. It is also possible for groups of players to create their own House of Conjurers, in which they create a House flag, establish a hierarchy, and go to war against other Houses. Citadel: Forged With Fire also includes both player and castle customization, though castles can also be dynamically destroyed when attacked.

You can watch the launch trailer below. Citadel: Forged With Fire is currently available on PC via Steam. While the game will normally be $24.99 in Early Access, the title is currently available for $19.99 as part of a 20% launch discount.
