Cities: Skylines was one of the breakout hits of this year, filling in the void of city builders after the negative reactions to SimCity. The new expansion, labeled “After Dark” is set to release on September 24 for $14.99. In the PAX trailer below you can view some of the new features without the usual in-your-face text, and instead just relax as day passes to night and dawn breaks.

After Dark will introduce a day and night cycle which affects schedules and traffic. Leisure activities in commercial areas will increase during the nighttime, and a beach specialization will also be introduced. Some city services are being increased such as criminal trafficking, taxi cabs, cargo trains from harbors, international airports with metro station, and bus terminal. Lastly bike and bus lane options will be added for when you’re creating roads.

Developed by Colossal Order and published Paradox Interactive, the central feature of the latest expansion is the day and night cycle, which alters the approach to managing your city. Will you construct a bustling city that lives and breathes at night or will your city succumb to the perils and misadventures of night life? You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control. The sky is the limit! Find out what life is like in the city when the sun goes down!
