Cities: Skyline’s Newest DLC to Feature Content Developed by a Modder

Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have announced the first DLC for Cities: Skylines to feature a modder’s creation, titled Content Creator Pack: Art Deco.

This pack will feature a variety of Deco-inspired buildings from community creator Matt “Shroomblaze” Crux.  He will receive a share of revenue for each purchase of the pack, and was also compensated with an initial payment from Paradox when production on the mod started.

Matt Crux had the following to say about the DLC:

“After over 3,400 hours in Cities: Skylines, it’s wonderful to have my own buildings become part of the game’s landscape Because the Art Deco era is so highly regarded as one of the best building styles of history, I think it needs to be represented as such. I made the suggestion to Paradox Interactive and they allowed me to come up with the buildings of my choice. I’m eager to see what the rest of the community thinks of them.”

Paradox has promised that other modders will be highlighted in new packs in the future. It is always great to see game developers and publishers reach out and support the community in a big way such as this.

Content Creator Pack: Art Deco will be available next week for $4.99. Cities Skylines is currently available on PC.
