Since its launch on March 10th, more than 500,000 copies of the PC, Mac and Linux sim Cities: Skylines have been purchased.

While 500,000 units may seem meager in comparison the numbers pulled by AAA titles, given small number of platforms the game is on and the relatively small target audience, the figure actually seems quite relevant. It is also great to see so many players opting out of pirating the title for free somewhere.
