City of Titans, the spiritual successor to the MMORPG City of Heroes, has been successfully funded on Kickstarter with a total fund of $678,189–more than double the initial goal of $320,000.

The original City of Heroes ended when publisher NCsoft canned the Paragon Studios development team and terminated the MMO in November 2012. Those developers then formed a new studio and came to Kickstarter in order to rebuild the City in a brand new game called City of Titans, which would keep many of the features of the original game but provide its own unique experience.

The Kickstarter managed to reach six of their stretch goals, including the Android and iOS avatar build posts, more elemental powers for your heroes, various costume sets and another completed zone at launch.
