Firaxis released a new video today which goes into depth about the military units and how to use them in Sid Meier's Civilization VI.

When it comes to Land Units, they can be melee, ranged, light cavalry, or heavy cavalry units, in addition to some specialized units such as recon, siege, and anti-cavalry ones. Then there are Naval Units, which consist of melee, ranged, and raider units, and players eventually unlocked the ability to create an Air Force with bombers and fighters.

In addition, there are Support Units like the medics and observation balloons that enhance land units, and also prevents them from being captured if attached to them. Great Generals and Admirals can also be attached to units for passive damage and movement bonuses.

Units gain experience after engaging in combat, which leads to a promotion for the unit, and allows you to pick a brand new ability for it. Units can also be upgraded to become more advanced and stronger units once the player discovers new technologies.

You can watch the video below. Sid Meier's Civilization VI is available now on PC.
