Hori announced today via press release that it'll launch a quite interesting accessory for those who like playing PS4 games on PS vita via remote play.

The accessory, named "Remote Play Assist Attachment for PS Vita" will launch in Japan in July 2016, for 2,980 yen plus taxes, translating to roughly $27.

Unfortunately, if you have the old PCH-1000 Vita with the OLED screen, you won't be able to use the accessory, as it's compatible only with the new PCH-2000 generation.

The main factor that makes this accessory different from the one released last year by Joetsu Electronic Industies is that it doesn't just add the L2 and R2 triggers, but it also adds further triggers on the bottom to operate L3 and R3.

For the moment there is no announcement about a western release of the accessory, but Hori exports most of its products, so there's a good chance that we'll be able to buy it in North America and Europe as well down the line.
