Closed Beta Testing for Cataclysm Has Begun

The day all hardcore WoW fans have been waiting for has finally arrived, the closed beta testing for Cataclysm has begun. Blizzard began sending out invites for the beta out yesterday to players who signed up using their Battle.net accounts. The closed beta will include players from all around the world, hopefully giving a diverse set of feedback.

This beta is not just a chance for players to get early access to one of the most anticipated expansions of the series, it  is an opportunity for players to tell Blizzard what they think of the game. Player feedback will be used to fix bugs and settle balance issues. Those participating in the beta should definitely give well thought out and relevant feedback, because Blizzard can do a lot more about the problems you face than the poor souls forced to hear you complain in Guild chat.

“Our focus with Cataclysm has been to build on the knowledge we’ve gained through the previous expansions to deliver the best, most compelling World of Warcraft content for our players to date,”

Says Mike Morhaime, the CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. So help Blizzard out and let’s help ensure that this will be the best expansion yet.
