Co-op Comes to Hearthstone for the First Time in New Tavern Brawl

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Blizzard’s online card game introduced a new mode earlier this year titled ‘Tavern Brawl’ which features a specific challenge or gameplay tactic each week. The upcoming Tavern Brawl ‘Unite Against Mechazod’ will allow Hearthstone players to team up with one another for the first time in the game.

‘Unite Against Mechazod’ will pit players against titular Gearmaster as a pair with one other partner. Players will take turns playing cards to deal damage against the boss and each earn a Tavern Brawl pack at the end of the match.

Combine forces to defeat Gearmaster Mechazod. You’ll each be piloting a pre-built deck assembled to give both you and your partner on the other side of the board a chance to take out the technological terror. Each turn he’ll move from your side of the board to your friend’s, and you’ll need to play your cards just right to bring him down together. Watch out! If one of you is defeated, then you both are, so don’t be stingy with the heals.

This Tavern Brawl is the first instance of co-op play in the game, which Blizzard has teased may become a permanent feature in the future.
