During a panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, that DualShockers attended, Bandai Namco revealed new gameplay footage of its upcoming action JRPG Code Vein.

The footage showcases more combat gameplay, that keeps looking more and more like an anime-like rendition of the Dark Souls series or Bloodborne.

You can check it out below, and see the similarities for yourself. The visuals also looks great thanks to the use of Unreal Engine 4, as promised by Producer Yosuke Tomizawa just a few minutes ago during the panel, where he also revealed the first NPC,  Mia Karnstein.

In Code Vein, players play the role of a Revenant, who is basically a vampire that has given up part of his (or her) humanity in order to survive in a post-apocalyptic world after the destruction brought by a phenomenon called the “thorn of judgement.”

Code Vein will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2018, and if you want to see more, you can enjoy  some impressive screenshots, the first gameplay showing similar elements, alongside the original reveal trailer of the game.
