Commander Video On-the-Go: Presenting BIT.TRIP SAGA for the 3DS

Looks like those promos that were running around April Fool’s day were no joke; all of Commander Video’s shockingly difficult rhythmic exploits will be collected in one neat little cartridge for the Nintendo 3DS. Dubbed BIT.TRIP SAGA, the compilation will contain all six excellent games that made their debut on Nintendo’s WiiWare service, and will be in full 3D as well.

I’ve played Beat and Runner and adored the ever-loving hell out of them, but I somehow managed to miss out on everything else. This will be a great chance for me to catch up with the series, and the 3D will ensure that by the time I complete the game, everything in the world will look like a Magic Eye illusion and my eyes will appear to be crazier than Steve Buscemi’s eyes. No word yet on release date or price; I hope that comes soon, as my 3DS has been collecting dust since its release.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
