Company of Heroes 2 Developer Post Introduces the UI

Despite the fact that THQ is in the midst of its bankruptcy procedure Relic Entertainment is still hard at work on Company of Heroes 2, that seems to be one of the most healthy indicators of the very possible recovery of the endangered publisher.

Today the game’s UI team posted a very interesting developer diary showing off the UI of the upcoming game (you can see it in the screenshot above), that looks like a much improved and streamlined version of what we had in the first Company of Heroes.

While the overall look is very similar, there are quite a few elements added, like the Global Unit Control, a collapsible list of unit icons at the top of the screen that should make selecting units in the midst of battle easier, especially considering that it lists vehicles and foot soldiers separately.
