Funcom announced today the release date of the Xbox One version of its online survival game Conan Exiles within the Xbox One Game Preview program.

It will come on August 16th, 2017.

On the same day, the PC version of the game, which is currently on Steam Early Access, is going to receive a free expansion including the previously announced Highlands biome. The Xbox One version will launch with the same expansion already included.

The full reveal of the expansion's contents is going to come in the summer, but we already know that it'll expand the world from the current desert to the frozen highlands of the north, and will bring new enemies, new thralls, new crafting and building recipes, and new weapons. The inclusion of new gods was also teased.

Alongside the announcement, Funcom released a batch of screenshots and two trailers, which you can see below.

If you want to see more, you can also check out the latest major update, our hands-on preview, and our recent interview with Creative Director Joel Bylos.

Conan Exiles is expected to fully release (leaving the Game Preview and Early Access programs) early next year, when it'll also get a PS4 version. Unfortuately PS4 players have to wait, since the console doesn't have a early access equivalent.
