Since the release of Condemned 2: Bloodshot back in 2008, little has been seen or heard of from the first-person action series, which released to great acclaim as one of the debut titles with the Xbox 360 in 2005 with Condemned: Criminal Origins - however, the series creator hinted at the possibility of a third title for the future.

Speaking through a Facebook post, Condemned creator Jason "Jace" Hall and CEO/founder of Monolith Productions spoke candidly on the Condemned franchise, and while Hall didn't officially confirm a third entry in the crime series, he did pose the series' future in question to a indie studios that may be invested in picking up the series and moving it forward.

While Hall detailed that he and his company and currently invested in other projects, such as the recently-released Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor that released in September of last year, Hall mentioned the possibility of handing the series over to "an interested and proven indie development team" so that they may take the franchise on and revive it, given the series' known name and recent horror successes like Outlast and Amnesia showing strong investment in the series' gameplay roots.
