Over on the PlayStation Blog, Versus Evil’s Lance James announced that The Banner Saga on PlayStation 4 would launch January 12, 2016. The game has been optimized for controller input and has also been localised for French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Italian languages.
Unfortunately the PlayStation Blog post has no word on the PlayStation Vita version, which was announced at PlayStation Experience 2014 in Las Vegas. I have reached out to Versus Evil and Stoic about the lack of Vita news and will update the story when I receive any response.
UPDATE: Versus Evil has promised more information to come and that the Vita version has not been cancelled, rejoice!

The Banner Saga has you live through an epic role-playing Viking saga where your strategic choices directly affect your personal journey. Make allies as you travel with your caravan across this stunning yet harsh landscape. Carefully choose those who will help fight a new threat that jeopardizes an entire civilization. Every decision you make in travel, conversation, and combat has a meaningful effect on the outcome as your story unfolds. Not everyone will survive, but they will be remembered.
