If you’ve missed all of our coverage on Compulsion Games and Focus Home Interactive’s upcoming game, Contrast, then you’ve been missing the jazz-infused, vaudevillian noir 2D/3D puzzle platforming world starring a little girl named Didi, who, along with her shadow-hopping imaginary friend Dawn, is trying to find her father. Now, with the game rapidly approaching, a Contrast website has gone live, showing off more of the lively world, array of characters, new images, videos and developer blog articles, and more.
Along with the new website also comes more details on Contrast‘s story, and Didi’s estranged father, Johnny:
In and around town, there’s a rumor that Didi’s father, Johnny, is back in town trying to promote something big – a circus that is as entertaining as it is ambitious. But to do this, Johnny needs the Great Vincenzo, a famous magician, to headline the show and draw big crowds. Johnny could find himself in a bad situation if Vincenzo doesn’t agree, as this deal isn’t exactly above board.
Contrast is set to release digitally on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and both digitally and through retail on the PC sometime later this year. For a closer look at the game, check out the new screenshots below, and if you missed the last trailer starring Cissie Redgwick’s “Gimme That Swing” track, you may want to check that out.
