Crytek Blesses Universities With Free CryEngine 3

Crytek are sincerely a bunch of nice guys and gals. If you or someone you know is attending any of the institutions that offer game development courses in their curriculum, you will soon be toying around with Crytek’s CryENGINE 3 soon… for free!

The company recently announced that it would be granting free licenses for its new development platform to colleges. If you can’t remember too clearly, it’s really not the first time Crytek performs such good deeds. Back when CryENGINE 2 was the shiznit, they also offered the dev platform to students attending colleges for game development.

If you’ve seen Crysis, then you know what the engine was capable of back in the day. Just imagine the things you can pull of now once you harness the full potential of these tools and learn to take advantage of it – all for the price of going to school. Pretty nifty, huh? I am jealous of you bastards. For me to even consider obtaining this engine, I’m going to have to sell my organs in the black market, wherever that thing is anyway. All hated aside, I tip my hats to you young ens going through the tireless process of studying game development, and congratulate you in getting your hands on CryENGINE 3, you lucky bastards you.
