This week was supposed to be a big one for Cyberpunk 2077 fans as CD Projekt RED had scheduled a digital showcase for the game on June 11th, but as you may know, the live stream has been pushed back to later this month in support of the protesters and all the Black people in the world. That said, CDPR hasn't left us empty-handed for this week, as the developer revealed some new interesting features about the game in a recent interview.

Speaking to GameStar in a premium podcast, the developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 started explaining the game's quest design and comparing it to the studio's previous titles. According to them, the only thing that would cause a mission to end in failure is death. The team has considered the dumbest things you could ever do during a mission in order to avoid failure in any other form. For example, if you are in the middle of a fight with enemies, you can leave it for any reason and get yourself a hamburger while the mission is still on.

The improvements that we are about to experience in quest design in Cyberpunk 2077 over The Witcher 3 is as much as the progress that CDPR made in The Witcher 3 compared to its predecessor. You will have three times as many ways to end a mission successfully as the last entry of The Witcher trilogy.

Aside from the quest design, the developers also shed some light on some other interesting features of the game. As per them, the game will have over a thousand NPCs with unique routines for each one of them, which is huge progress for the devs over The Witcher 3. The other important news is about Cyberspace, a digital world in Cyberpunk 2077 that will open some new gameplay elements for the player when you're inside. The developers describe Cyberspace as a place where Skyrim meets Tron. You will have access to some fantasy weapons and creatures in there, which will help you to get rid of the hackers. Also, in the case of melee combats, you can expect much more than what you've already seen in the previous gameplay footage, according to CDPR.

The Night City Wire showcase will go live on June 25, which is assumed to premier a new trailer from Cyberpunk 2077. The game will be available on September 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Next-gen versions of the game will arrive at a later date.
