Silicon Studio announced today with a press release that From Software will use its popular post effects middleware YEBIS 2 in Dark Souls III.

YEBIS 2 is well known in the industry for its post effects like bloom, depth of field, motion blur, optical simulation of camera lenses and more.

The press release mentions that the middleware will “greatly improve” the post effects from the previous games of the Dark Souls series. Interestingly, From Software used YEBIS 2 for Bloodborne, with quite pleasing effects.

The press release included the following images (which we already saw) as examples of the post-effects included in the game.
