Darkfall: Unholy Wars Might Get a Mounted Combat School

If there’s one thing that always baffles me is the fact that most MMORPG developers just can’t get (or don’t care to get) mounted combat right. It was one of the most important areas of medieval warfare, yet it’s one of the most neglected parts of fantasy MMORPGs.

Looks like the devs at Aventurine are thinking about filling this gap in Darkfall: Unholy Wars by creating a school dedicated to mounted combat on the side of making changes to “make mounted combat more fluid, fun and engaging”, as told in an interview on the Italian website Worlds Factory.

The interview also explains how some ships will return from the first Darkfall and new ones will be introduced, and if you read my MMO reporting you probably already know how much I like this kind of big toys.

There’s quite a lot more in the interview, so you can check it out fully here. You’ll have to scroll towards the bottom to find the English version.
