Darksiders Coming to PC This Summer

The old box art.

Surprised? I’m not. For some strange reason, I had a gut feeling – after speaking with Joe Madureira – that Vigil Games’ first console behemoth, Darksiders, was going to hit the PC platform sometime in the future. I didn’t expect the “future” to be this Summer, though.

THQ has officially announced that their apocalyptic title composed of sheer badassery and mayhem will be making its way to the PC this year; the Summer, to be more specific. Darksiders was originally available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and was released on January of this year. I’m pretty sure that keyboard bashers and masters of the mouse will be more than excited to finally experience post-apocalyptic Earth through the eyes of War (one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse) and his over-sized sword and his intimidating facade which spews devastation.

Those of you who haven’t played Darksiders yet should definitely give the game a go when you get the chance. Although I did have my quarks with it in my review, I still suggest fans of the action-rpg genre to jump on this, as it is extremely nostalgic and an overall fun experience. Now, you’ll have a three platforms to choose from. Oh, and just an FYI, Vigil has indeed optimized the game for the PC version. Expect your eyes to orgasm.
