Darksiders, Uncharted 3 Artists Working On Next Big Retro Studios Project

Eric Kozlowsky and Gray Ginther, designers for Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3 and Vigil Games’ Darksiders, respectively, have joined Retro Studios on its latest big Nintendo project, according to the NeoGAF forums. Kozlowsky took 2D concept art for Naughty Dog’s Nathan Drake titles and rendered them into three-dimensional models and Ginther was in charge of character design for Darksiders.

Nintendo and Retro haven’t released any details regarding what the studio has been working on, the latter only going so far as to say it’s something “everyone wants us to do.” The last time Nintendo announced a major release by the studio was E3 2009, when Donkey Kong Country Returns was unveiled. This new project has also been more or less confirmed for the Wii U. My money’s on new IP. Second guess? Star Fox.
