Day For Night Games Announces The Black Glove’s Cancellation

Day For Night Games, a developer comprised of former members of Irrational Games, has revealed that their surreal shooter The Black Glove has been cancelled.

A post to the developer’s website confirms the cancellation comes on the heels of a failed Kickstarter campaign that wrapped $200,000 short of its first stretch goal. The developer also showed a demo of the game to publishers behind closed doors at PAX East and GDC in an attempt to secure other ways of funding the game, and though it garnered some interest, they weren’t able to find just the match they sought. The optimistic post finishes with the promise of The Black Glove being later revisited  “when we can do it right”.

This is pretty disappointing news. Why do you think the Kickstarter wasn’t successful?
