Today, Invader Studios, developer of the survival horror title Daymare: 1998, announced that it has launched its ‘Daymare Challenge.’

The Challenge asks that backers download the Extra Mode demo for Daymare: 1998, and shoot for the highest score, which will be tracked on a leaderboard. Once you feel you’ve got a contending score, you can take a screenshot of the game score and email it to Invader at info@invaderstudiosofficial.com. The demo is available to anyone who has backed the game on Kickstarter.

The winner of the challenge will be featured in Daymare: 1998, though it’s unclear exactly how. Certain pledge rewards for the crowdfunding campaign allow backers to be featured in the game’s phonebooks or even as full-blown characters.

Daymare: 1998 is a survival horror title that is looking to revive the genre's tropes of the 90's., focusing on third-person perspectives, inventory management, environmental puzzle-solving, and tough-as-nails enemies.

Daymare: 1998’s Kickstarter campaign began on February 15. Invader Studios is looking for $189,947.00 to fully fund the game for a release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
